The DTE Precursor Project has begun. This ESA initiative hopes to address the gaps that still exist in order to reach a Digital Twin Earth and help the wider community understand physical, social and economic changes with the use of EO data.

Welcome to Food Systems Digital Twin Earth Precursor

The Food Systems DTE (Digital Twin Earth) Precursor is one of six ESA funded projects designed to further define the Digital Twin Earth concept and develop a roadmap towards the EU Data Strategy “Destination Earth” initiative.

This particular precursor is focused on developing a Food Systems Digital Twin that can support EU Green Deal targets and help to enable a “Farm to Fork” approach based on the latest science in real time. The project will take an Agile-like approach to incorporate Artificial Intelligence and complex model integration bringing together multiple data sets including socio-economic and physical measurements, all in close collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders.
